Hanging Out with Dad

Wow, its amazing how true this video is. How when we are first saved, we always want to be around God, then we end up growing apart. Its also amazing that God is also like a 3 year old child, always wanting to spend time with us, and he never grows away from us or wants something else, its always us. Also, how true it is that God is everywhere, we need to reach the poor, and fallen, and people in prison, and people laying in a bed in a hospital. Some may be normal people needing God's touch, but I also believe we live among not only intangible Angels, but visible Angels, and I believe they disguise themselves as "homeless Joe" walking on the sidewalk holding all his belongings in a trash bag, asking for food, and I believe these are tests from God. I'm guilty of it as many other people are of ignoring these opportunities to witness.

I think that this is an awesome idea and a great way to connect to the youth. This first blog was also a great way to start it. It is a powerful message that I do not think that you can hear too many times, because unfortunately we step up and take the challenge of the message initially and then as time goes on we slip further away from it. Also, too often we find ourselves focusing on accomplishing the "big" things that God wants us to do, and then we totally miss the many opportunities we have to do lots of "little" tasks suggested in the passage spoken about. I also think sometimes we look at these "little"tasks as interruptions in our lives instead the opportunities that they are to "help the least of these." What would happen if we would change our mindset about these "little" tasks.

Good Thoughts!
I often say, taking time is hard! What I mean is; making time for other people, especially the least of these, is hard to fit into our schedule these days. But what if we litterally saw Jesus in place of these people? What if we were litterally taking care of Jesus' needs? Would it be hard for us to make the time then? Jesus said, whatever you did for the least of these, you did for me, but when we excuse away our responsibility to take care of those in need, we excuse away our responsibility to take care of Jesus. Look him in the face and say, Jesus, I wanted to feed you or give you drink, but I was really busy. Are you convicted? Because I am!

The first time I saw this I was like... sweet. I will definitely look forward to watching these.

What you said was right on.

I liked how you were down to earth and just real with Cole in the background and how it wasn't scripted.

Sometimes when people are in front of a Camera they tend to be all serious.

You came across as fun and enthusiastic which made it easier to listen to what you were saying.

All in all.. I love the idea!

This is so awesome!! I think at times we get to the point where (spiritaully)we want more of God and if we don't keep going after it by spending more time with Him we lose the relationship and we're so used to being close to God and it hurts when you're not anymore...But He is still there and always shows His love for us! The thing I love the most about God is I know that not one person has stuck by my side my whole entire life..not friend, family member ,boyfriend or whoever but God has always been there..and still is when no one else is. I love how you relate your sons relationship with you to us and God. :)
